0 out of 40 - a premier league 1st

Gerrard, Lucas Henderson and Flanngan all received 0 out of 10 for their displays on Saturday evening.

Flanno who IMO is Liverpool's worst ever player never had his worst ever game but other than pass back or sideways 5 yards was as dire as ever.

Gerrard stunk, Lucas was pathetic and Henderson looked lost.

We had Suarez and Sturridge up top but behind them nothing.

Toure and Skrtel were sound.

I was blasted for writing off Sissoko after seeing him on his debut to which i replied i know a good player when i see one - he backed up my comments on Saturday proving he is a headless chicken

We miss Enrique big time.

BR must take full responsability for his selection that cost us on Saturday, Flanno over Kelly, Coutinho on the bench!!!!!!!!!!!!

"You need a top, top player in the middle."

Like Fellaini or Anderson?

He's right though we do, our midfield is poor

Plenty of energy but no steel in the centre of the park.

We’ve got one. Top of the league for chances created, high pass-completion rate, etc, etc.

But if you put Lucas and Gerrard in front of a back 3, alongside two wing-backs who can’t play wing-back, it leaves them with too much to do, especially against a team whose biggest strength is in midfield.

They have to link the play between defence and attack, AND cover the wing-backs who can’t play wing-back.

Brendan got it wrong. That system works against the ‘park the bus’ teams (though even then it leaves them with a lot of work), but you can’t play it against the likes of Arsenal, and certainly not with wing-backs who don’t know how to play there.

22% of skrtels passes were to mignolet, sakho was solid once again.

That beats the all time Liverpool record held by Hanson when you could pass back to the keeper!

I gave the ratings

people were on here Saturday night saying Flanno done well.......again if well means going backwards or sideways then i'll give him 2-3 but if you want to play in the prem and you can not keep the ball in play then its a 0 every time

Arsenal were there for the taking , Chelsea, Spurs, Everton all dropped points

You gave the ratings yourself?! Oh for goodness sake.

We were beaten by the better team on the day and the form team of 2013. Not great but not a disaster either unless you have ambitions to win the league this year? Our top 4 challenge will depend on beating the lower/mid teams not Arsenal away.

Flanagan our worst ever player? Give the boy a chance, BR obviously sees something in him. And besides there are plenty of players that could take that tag, I'd rather have Flanagan playing for us than Konchesky!

For me the worst Liverpool player on the park was wthout doubt Lucas, there is something woefully wrong with him, he was blowing for tugs 10 mins into the 2nd half , he is nowhere near fit enough for a pro player on a massive salary. The blame lies on BR`s shoulders for allowing a Liverpool player that is so out of condition to be selected . As far as playing Flanno before Kelly , the mind boggles . Against Fulham Agger or Toure should replace Lucas , with Stevie & Coutinho being the other 2 in the midfield diamond

I thought Arsenal played very well myself.

Just out of interest which teams in the league do people think have this elusive quality for deeper midfield?

Chelsea have Lampard, Ramires and Mikel
Man Utd have Fellaini, Cleverly and Carrick
Everton have Barry, McCarthy and Osman

I don't think any of those sets are markedly better than Lucas, Gerrard and Henderson.

Just Arsenal, City and Spurs then having spent gazillions on their midfields.

It's almost as though people don't really know what they're talking about and supply knee jerk reactions after a loss, away, to Arsenal.

I would rather Cabaye in there than Henderson myself but don't be slating Lucas and Gerrard when both goals came from wide areas. You've got three CB's who didn't close Ramsey (the ball bounced 3 fekking times!), Skrtel lost Cazola cos he was ball watching and Cissoko needs a good slap. Can't really have a pop at Flanno.
