To Abramovich to which club he should buy as he first looked in russia then looked in London. To think how chelsea have destroyed tottenham hopes since last 2 seasons took away there champions league qualification away from them. Sven said that at the time chelsea would need buy maybe half a team while tottenham probably a whole new team
On a serious note if chelsea hadn't got champions league football that season before he joined I wonder if he would have bought a club in Russia instead. Thats what I always thought but now I think he was buying a club in London full stop and at the time chelsea was the easier option as it meant instead of buying 25 £20-£25m players he needed like 15.

Hardly big news....
Doubt Levy and Lewis would have dealt with a dodgy Russian anyway.
Cheers Eriksson, did us a favour

Judging by this posting, the first leg of the 2013-14 Hafijur Cup must be imminent.

So Sven is trying to sell copies of his book, this isn't news, it was well known that Roman looked into Tottenham before buying Chelsea, even Dan Levy admitted as much back in 2003.

The price quoted by Levy was seen as too much by the Russian.According to what I remember Levy had to ask for a high price because of shareholders needing to be paid etc.
I'm happy with how we had slowly but surely progressed. In the long run I believe that the way Spurs and Arsenal have been run financially will provide greater benefits.
