Arsenal are without midfielder Jack Wilshere, who is recovering from an ankle injury, as they aim to avoid a second successive defeat by Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Group F.

The Gunners lost 2-1 at Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago and are level on six points with Dortmund and Napoli.

Kieran Gibbs is available after a hip problem, while Mathieu Flamini has not travelled because of a groin injury.

Theo Walcott remains out following minor abdominal surgery.

But Serge Gnabry was involved in training on Tuesday after recovering from an ankle injury.

Wilshere missed Arsenal's 2-0 win over Liverpool on Saturday as they moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League and manager Arsene Wenger says the 21-year-old is a doubt for the trip to Manchester United on Sunday and England's friendlies against Chile on 15 November and Germany four days later.

"He will have on a test on Thursday and if that is not successful, he will be out for Sunday," said Wenger. "And if he is out for Sunday he will be out with England as well."

Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund reached last season's Champions League final and have won all eight of their home games this season.

"We are a positive side, Dortmund are a positive side," Wenger added. "So you have a guarantee both sides will try and win the game.

"I am not a music specialist but Dortmund is a very good team so we should see a good symphony tomorrow," he said in reference to Klopp's praise for Wenger and Arsenal this week as a fine-tuned "orchestra".

"(Arsene Wenger) is really something. He is Sir Arsene Wenger," Klopp said. "But he likes having the ball, playing football, passing it. It is like an orchestra but it is a quiet song. I prefer heavy metal. I always want it loud."

After facing the German side, Arsenal's next European tie sees Marseille visit the Emirates on 26 November, with their last group game in Naples next month.
