D D Defence

Ever since our loss to Spurs last year we saw a new animal in Arsenal. I remember ranting about our lack of signings post Villa match the Ozil came, what a mood changer.

Being off work today watched highlights of the Arsenal vs Spurs game resulting in a 4-4 draw. I am not saying we are immune to costly errors ie from our defence but my goodness that night we had Clichey Gallas Silvestre Sagna and Almunia. Wow, the defending was attrocious, they panicked and you never could be confident of seeing of a game leading 4-2 and of cause the Newcastle game (4-4) from 4 nil up.

I dont know the deal between Bould and Wenger but, Bould could be an unsung hero in our improvement. Naive is a word Wenger rightly used when we lost to Dortmund because thats how we played and defended over the seasons. No matter who we played I always found myself saying 1 more goal and we have won but that shouldnt be the case because we are going to need to take those narrow wins as well to win trophies and challenge for the title.

I dont care about the chances Dortmund had. We kept a clean sheet away to them. I dont care how we went out to Bayern last year, we kept a clean sheet against them. How awesome is that? Defend well and with a team like Arsenal goals will come one way or the other.

We need to get Sagna to sing da ting. He does have his off days but I cant see a better RB we can sign. Kos and Per, need I say more? I am pleased for Gibbs at the moment. Dont let us down at OT boys. COYG
