very average player. Wait until he faces world class bowlers in Anderson and Broad before praising him. Anyone can score 100+ on flat pitches

India have produced more results than any team. If you ask me, pitches in England were flatter in the ashes. Those pitches barely provided anything to the bowlers and required poor batting to get the wickets.

Now if you compare that to the pitches in India. I would easily pick Indian pitches over other pitches.

Do you guys remember the pitches in Aus vs Sa, where teams were scoring 500 in day 1?

Pitches in India have helped all types of bowlers. Take James anderson, shami, swann etc. If you are skilled enough then indian pitches will help you.

The only places where pitches are really good and tests your skills is SA and India. Other places the conditions of the pitches changes with the team.

the last 10 match i remember in india from newzealand series last year, only 1 has ended in a draw, that boring match against england, 9 out of 10 had result. I think only south african pitches offer such result besides india.
the most complaint and valid to some extent though is indian pitches are not helpful to fast bowlers and that makes for a dull cricket, but over the last year thats not the case anymore, indian pitches are now offering help to fast bowlers as well, andersen, pattinson, siddle and other good bowlers have got good rewards.
People are basing their opinion on past maybe.

A pitch offering help for fast bowlers make for a good contest is proven by todays shami performance. in cricket, only fast bowlers look like athlete (and wk), and fitness ,stamina and strength, that raw passion is seen only in fast bowlers.
If not for fast bowlers, cricket looks like a game of golf or baseball.
thats why , recent indian pitches(for test matches) need to be applauded.
