...Lamela man of the match, so many positives...?
Not for me.
Never like to put a downer on a positive result but that's what this season seems to be all about.
Why can't Spurs play a bit of football anymore? Why do all the players on the pitch and on the bench look like they've got the raving hump? Why do players like Eriksen start well for the club for the first couple of games and end up playing like a C.
I missed it, but my mate said that AVB was having a word with Naughton, rubbing his back and telling him how to kick a ball and defend, when Defoe started having a pop back at AVB? If this is true, then we've had it. I know Defoe can be a bit of nightmare sometimes but arguing with the gaffer? I don't think I've ever come across that before. I need to see it back to believe it, but if he was giving it back to AVB then the writings on the wall I'm afraid.
Chelsea all over again. The players don't respect AVB. Tiresome, lethargic performances to follow.
He has not got a clue what his first team is.
You need the same players on the pitch week in, week out. It's the same at work, if you don't know what the C next to you is doing and keep changing people around every other day your fkd.
I know this seems like a reactionary article, (and it is) but I'm tired already with this negative approach to football, because all that does is make fans like me and thousands more even more negative.
Spurs are a terrible football team watch...I thought I would never be saying that.
Well played Lamela though, genuinely happy for him. Even though it is papering over the cracks.
Another result...

Very insightful comments from someone that didn't see the game
Cheers Smithy. I went and I enjoyed it. Lamela was superb and the atmosphere was great thanks to 1882.

Smithy........how on Earth can you comment on a performance you did not watch?
Whilst we are all entitled to our views and opinions, let's keep those to events we actually witness and not obtain 2nd or 3rd hand!!

I think smithy has learnt his lesson

Greaves, just to clarify, the only thing I missed last night was the exchange of words between AVB and Defoe. I never miss a game.
Although it could of been put more eloquently, the mainpoint still remains. Spurs need a different style of football than what is being served up present.
We live in hope.

just me Bill
You seem to equate good, entertaining football, with a degree of excitement as a recipe for losing. What utter bilge!
Your talking utter bollox as well, Spurs have had their best start ever probably in your lifetime, and you still are not satisfied, It is supporters like you that give us all a bad name, whinging and whining becuse the team cannot add a bit of so called flair to their exceptional results. The Spurs way is feccccking myth anyway, in all my 55 years of watching Spurs, they have only truely had one brilliant great football team, all the other trophy winning teams, whilst winning trophies and playing half decent football, did not play this all singing, all dancing football you crave. Go watch a circus if you want entertainment, I prefer to watch Spurs win football matches.
