Just read this article. As far as the TV side of it goes I'm not too bothered, I've never had sky and I'm not too fussed about watching champions league anyway. Plus BT have said a selection of matches will be free to air too.
This bit caught my attention though:
"The contract is worth more than double the current arrangement, which could mean significantly more money for clubs in the two European competitions."
This seems like it's going to widen the gap even further between the top teams and the also rans, especially with the FFP rules kicking in. As much as I'm dying for Leeds to get promoted, do we really have anything to look forward to if/when we do go up (in terms of competing)?
It's getting to the point where I wish the top 4-6 teams in the premiership would all finally sign up to this hypothetical 'European Super League' that they've been threatening the FA with for years and just bog off. At least then we could have a top division that is unpredictable and where all the money isn't kept amongst just a few teams. I feel like even an American style salary cap would be a good thing, make it so every team has the same budget to spend on players.
It will never happen though, it's changed to being all about money for the companies that own the clubs rather than the glory of competition.

Must have read my feedback on Owen's performance, he's on MOTD again. Hope he doesn't disappoint now.

I thought his insight/debate with Shearer and Lineker about ways to finish was very good

Sir K
Just started to look through the FA Cup game and you are flying !!! with I think the top score so far and 24 correct (possible bonus on the way !)

Yes it was a good day, but Boro spoiled my treble in the virtual bookies in the 94th minute.
Think you got 20+ yourself so far, and with the postponed game the total looks even better. Not sure what is a good score, but should be an improvement on last seasons 1st round.

We are not looking to be a SKY beater or nock them off their throne, just to be a fair competitor, we can run side by side
Sky are a well oiled machine we are the newbies but we will mature & improve with time.
