To be fair

We created more chances in this game than any other match this season. AVB is not at fault for players missing chances. However he is at fault for the first half and the general slow, boring build up play. Defoe also offered nothing, i would of put on Lamela/Holtby first.

Many people been saying we need fullbacks to support and put in crosses...we did that today but a) soldado/defoe is never going to win any headers b) there is never any midfielders also in the box.

As a side note, why does Soldado never get in good scoring positions. Its like he just doesn't have the knack of a poacher, and he never makes near post runs. To think Negredo was cheaper

Concur. The width in the team actually looked better today. Yet in spite of that we didn't look dangerous because no one was getting near of the crosses, or the few that did were outnumbered by defenders.

AVB's tactics are shocking, hence why we keep playing poorly.

Paulinho and Dembele together don't do it for me (I know Dembele got subbed). I appreciate that the young Dane Eriksen is a good passer, but his intinct is to try and link-up with the frontman. Personally, if I was AVB, and I'm not, I'd either dump Dembele, who I believe to be a hugely over-rated player, in place of a player who looks to start passing moves from a central position, OR, make Eriksen play a much more disciplined, practical game, that would require a change of formation however.
