Firstly this is not a kneejerk reaction to Sundays result more observations over quite a few games now.
As far as i'm concerned we are still the same amount of points behind Arsenal as we were before the weekend and the stadium of light as hardly been an happy hunting ground for city in a long time.
Forget the goalkeeping problems this current defense is simply not good enough anymore, as soon as Vinnie is out of the team we look extremely vunerable at the back.
Lescott is clearly unfancied by Pellegrini and should be moved on in January with the very best replacement possible coming in. As good as Nastasic is the lad is still young and as made more mistakes than Hart and yet somehow escapes the same level of criticism he needs to be used more sparingly great backup as far as i'm concerned at the moment.
Kolarov lord knows how this fella is still at this club , I'd be preparing a bid for Baines pronto.
Midfield clearly another problematic area for us. Garcia and Rodwell ironically both part of the same last summer transfer window of Mancini need to be moved on. Garcia is just woeful and Rodwell is the crock everyone told us he would be unfortunely. Quality reinforcements need to be brought in.
Dzeko i'm getting both tired and bored of this guys bleating at not being in the team, when he does get his chances to start he simply doesn't look fit to tie the laces of Negredo, time is right to get rid.

I'm not sure Dzeko will leave in January, but I think certainly in summer. He doesn't look like he has the fight or the talent in him to compete with Negredo as number 9.
We're generally playing 2 strikers, but in games where the midfield needs beefing up a bit it has to be Milner every time, not sure why Garcia is getting the nod so far this season, not mobile enough to be playing in the middle of the park in the PL, or at least at a top PL club.

Is chucking another load of money at it the answer?
You already had a good squad and added close to 100m worth of talent to it in the summer. Is that not enough?
You're starting to sound like spoilt brats now demanding this and that every window from your owner.
How about produce some of your own players like a great club does. And a Mancunian too for good measure?
That's what City miss for me. A bit of heart and passion to add to their array of stars.

No we didn't add a 100 million. We lost talent and replaced it, our assets are almost identical to the title winning season, which is exactly why we were after Isco as well.
How many mancs did you have in your starting XI yesterday Stretford? You had one homegrown player start and two on the bench. We had one homegrown player start and one on the bench. Not really that different is it?
Your point about heart and passion is a very good one (and we really miss Barry in that regard). There's no need to wum, and quite stupidly wum, while doing it though.

Whilst not homegrown or English, there is a lot of heart and passion to be found in our team...Zabba oozes it, Sergio, well did you watch his goal celebrations in the derby's, he knows what it means to the fans, Silva has it in abundance and Negredo shows much and is becoming an icon. From the English perspective Milner and Richards have it too and one of them is home grown. To name just a few

That many wholesale changes will do more harm then good.
All we need in January is a left back and a world class centre half.
1st of January I'd be on the phone to Southampton with a £15-17m bid for Luke Shaw no messing about.
And by that time Jovetic and Guidetti should be fit and match fit so I'd be saying to Dortmund here's £20m and Dzeko for Hummels!!
I'm also open to the idea of pinching Vermaelen from Arsenal to play next to Kompany. Especially with a World Cup year on the cards. But Dzeko plus cash would be my ideal situation!!
In the summer, it will be time to move on players like Garcia and Kolarov but untill then we are stuck with them.

these are the same players that were part of the best defence in the league for a number of years,the holes in the defence are down to mr pel ,
kolorov could not of played much better yesterday and his shot was the closest city came to an equaliser
