not that long tbh, just a few steps

better than sitting there waiting for hours while everyone is trying to download the update on launch day

downloading the update for ps4 early, so when the machine comes you stick your usb stick in and you can update it right away instead of waiting to download the update then (when another 500k people or so will be doing the same thing)
