Let's just hope this is not an indication of things to come next year in Brazil.
A fellow World Cup-bound side outplayed us in every aspect of the game and it must be a concern for the team.
Same ole England

Another thing is that Chile are actually a very good team. Had their new manager been brought in at the start of the qualifying campaign there's a good chance they would have been sitting top of the qualifying group in South America.

I thought it was a very strange decision to start Milner and Lampard, not just because I don't think they're good enough but also because we know more than enough about the two of them.
Tonight was the night to throw in Barkley, Cleverley or Henderson.
And I don't need much persuasion on the uses of Danny Welbeck either. You'll find that I'm one of his greatest admirers on this site so I agree with you there.

And considering they were without Vidal, it's all the more impressive.
The way they worked the ball from back to front at times tonight was very impressive. Big fan of their high intensity style of play. They don't seem to have changed a lot from their time under Bielsa.

Was reading that the new manager is very much a 'student of Bielsa' or so to speak.
They were playing really poor with the last manager as he wasn't as attacking, apparently, and their attacking players were being stifled.
The new manager has got them playing like they were under Bielsa and they're flourishing as a result.

Bielsa's quite an influential man to say the least.

Quite surprising he's not managing anyone.

that is because Chile are better than England at football. There are a few more world cup bound teams that are also better than us and will do the same to us if we have to play them.
No surprise or anything to worry about here. Dont over estimate how good England are or should be.

"No offence melts but aside from Rooney, we didn't press chit"
That's exactly my point Macca. All that ends up happening is a disjointed defence without the ball.

They're way too young and should rightly be in u21.
........
Nonsense....it is a friendly therefore why not give them some experience against a decent international side. They are just as good as what we had out there last night and still only very young. I agree don't play the likes of zaha, sterling however I do believe Barkley, Morrison and shaw are good enough
