Sign Carlos up!?

I see Ally is holding off bringing Cuellar back due to his injury and may go for Wilson on loan instead. Am I alone in thinking we should just get Carlos signed up? He is not too far away from fitness and I don't see the sense in putting the deal off for the sake of a few weeks of being unavailable. After all, that would only be a tiny fraction of a 3 or 4 year deal. With Bartley, Weir and Goian (and a few others who can fill in at a push), we have enough cover till Carlos would be fit.

Get him signed up I say! What do you think??

He's in the last year of his contract, Hector.

Big Eck is very keen to get some money in because he has none to spend.

With Goian, Bartley, Weir and by the sounds of it Wilson coming back do we need him right now ?? and could we not sign him far cheaper in Jan when he will be back to match fitness - I would prefer we got Wilson for now and used the funds for another top notch striker like Jelly or winger ....

And you do have more

If Rangers can afford him then it would be foolish not to get him in. Bartley, Weir and Wilson are all short term options. Goian and Cuellar would be a very strong partnership and would keep the back door shut for years to come.

Scooby - I agree we certainly don't need 2 more central defenders, we just have room for 1. If we make it Wilson and wait to January for cuellar, I'd fear someone else nipping in for him. Cuellar, a left winger and a striker would be on my wish list

James you say "he is not too far away from fitness" Do you know something we or the Rangers Medical Team do not know? Let us be cautious with this one - we have had too many players bought injured or unfit - Prodan, Beattie etc. Wilson would be a better deal, young & fit at this point on time. First priority for me is now a striker and a left winger if possible before Wednesday's deadline. To get past Maribor is vital. Thoughts?

Blueger it says on the club website he is expected to be fit in the middle of next month. We have enough bodies to cope till then. We already have one up and coming defender on loan and I'd prefer a more experienced player myself. Would still be happy with Wilson, don't get mr wrong. Agree 100% about left winger and striker, both a must for me.
