Bye bye Wardy.

Unless I'm mistaken, the accident happened before our highest league finish under him and our cup win.

The decline started after his accident, it took him years to recover and he had the decency to resign.

No. The accident happened before our highest league finish and our cup win person.

Fozzy resigned because the club tried to sell Andy Gray behind his back person. But don't let the truth cloud your judgement.

Its a real shame Barnwell had that accident because although its true we did well for a short while after the crash it certainly affected him badly. A friend of mine was working at the club at the time and Barnwell was scaring the Board to death with some of the things he was trying to do. Lined up some players to sign that would have had the club bankrupt within months. But until that time he was on the way to developing one of the most exciting teams we have ever had

That's true dj they were the most exciting wolves team I've ever seen and its true the slide started after the accident he was never the same after it.

He wanted to sign Peter Reid, and Reid wanted to come. He also wanted to sign Platini.

just think, if he had signed platini the little curly headed twát might not have turned out quite so snti-english and the whole face of european/world football might be different today. barnwell was a visionary, let down by the club. i blame moxey.

Me too gb............we got to blame someone for destroying the best team and manager weve had since the 50's,we will have to wait many years to emulate mr barnwells triumphs, thats if we ever will.

So, the decline began and the subsequent slide led to our highest league finish for years and a League Cup win?
Got it.
