Wolves seem to have found a knack of winning without playing particularly well. This was evident again on Saturday against Notts County, the league's bottom side.
Surely though, we should be dismissing sides like County more convincingly than 1 -0!
Now, whilst winning and promotion is the only thing that matters this season, I personally think that we should be doing better. With the players and resources at our disposal, we should be rolling-over some of the teams that we have struggled to beat.
I've seem most matches this season and we have not played well in most. In fact, nearly all the teams that we have played against have outplayed us for long periods of the games.
So, what would make us play better and win more convincingly?
Kenny has a habit of tinkering and changing the side. Is this having a detrimental effect?
The midfield has come in for some criticism in recent weeks, however with Henry, McDonald and now Jacobs, Kenny has strengthened this area, but is midfield still the problem?
Is the attack as potent as it should be? Griff has scored 10 goals, but when I have watched him, he's also wasted a fair few chances. No other striker has got near him for goals scored, though! Do we need another striker?
Has KJ got the formation right? He doesn't seem to like 442, but in several games, we have resorted to this formation to win the game!
Am I just a greedy so and so and is winning enough, or should we be doing better?
What do you think?
What else do we need?

have read this article from end to end and I think some excellent points have been raised by everyone posting.
My own opinion at this moment in time would be summed up by these two comments:

What do we need to do ?
Nothing!.....having just gone top of the league and only having lost one game..... then I suggest we do nothing other than sit back and enjoy the ride

What else do we need? My personal opinion is that for this season we need nothing. I honestly don't think we need to improve at all to be champions. I would rather hold on to our cash and invest when we are in the Championship and can attract better players. For this season maybe another loan or two or if we do sign someone I would go for a young player who can develop into a Championship player next year.
I can't think of anything else to say that sums it up better for me.
Excellent thread btw 5* from me.

Walsall missed a peno to make it 3-0. Posh also had a player sent off. Fourth time this season they have had a player dismissed.

like DJ, i don't think we need to do anythng to the squad to go up this season - providing we don't sell sako. the proof of that is in the league table. if we sell sako, however, i do think we may need to sign at least one more player. and before people point to jacobs, let's see him play first
that said, there is no harm in signing players now IF we can find the right ones. i'd also like to see us reach out for a premier league loanee or two if anyone suitable is available in january. the biggest failing for our side in the last 5 years is IMO not managerial appointments (terry connor aside) but the failure to refresh and improve the squad at the right times. reliance on players to step up a level, or lolyally sticking with the same old squad because of what they have done in a previous season, does not work in football and there are times when it is best for player, manager and club to move on.
looking ahead we do need more goals in the squad and we still need to get a decent CM pairing. if KJ can find a grant holt/iwelumo type target man i think it would help griffiths and also give doyle a break in some matches. we don't need to be looking for a prem class fancy striker just yet but someone who is a threat in the air at corners and can battle with two CBs at a time to create space for griff would give us a plan B.
btw on the subject of strikers above:
griffiths = doyle
mcalinden
siggy
cassidy
would be my ranking.
