Arsenal are being strongly linked to Pato of late. Even his chairman came out practically begging Arsenal to sign him.
He'd be cheap too.
Thing is I remember reading the fans being unhappy with his partying antics. If he has issues with that then I don't see know whether Wenger would be interested.
Then again I know that he used to be a big fan of him a few years back. If he still has the ability and pace that he had he'd be a good player for Arsenal.
We'll have to see whether there's anything in this.
Pato- A Viable And Good Option

No logical response available, must use childish insult to cover up my lack of debating skills...
Brilliant.

So Wenger wanted Cabaye, despite...him playing for Newcastle.
Who you play for makes no difference. It's all about ability. Ben Arfa has it, you and I don't.

You call this "debating"? You a West Brom fan mocking Arsenal players.
Do yourself a favour and discuss the ongoings of your mediocre club with your fellow fans. If you could find any in here.

Ben Arfa is better than Podolski, Walcott, Oxo Cube, Rosicky or whoever else you'd play out wide

Then why can't he get into the team ahead of Sissoko or Gouffran?
Our options are much better than Ben Arfa, don't be a twit.

Injury. He's come off some serious injuries. Even Gazza wasn't the same player after his. Given time BA will be rocking St James's Park again. Which is more than can be said for Oxlade Chamberlain and Podolski at the Emirates.

Injury? He's fit at the moment and going on websites like Toonforum, they've been less than impressed with him. Ben Arfa is a typical MOTD player. Does fancy stuff in the highlights, but when it comes to the actual game, he is ineffective for most of it. Gets dispossessed easily when he dribbles and his shooting is wayward. He looks silky on the ball but isn't productive.
Chamberlain is 20 years old and has plenty of time on his side, Ben Arfa's entering his peak years. He's 27. He will not get much better, especially as his pace starts to go within the next few years.
As for Podolski, I don't read too much into stats, but he got 16 goals & 11 assists when he was primarily played out wide (which people argue isn't his best position despite playing there for Germany). His performances blew hot and cold. By stark contrast, your man Ben Arfa got 4 goals and 3 assists. His most productive season in a Newcastle shirt is when he got a grand total of 6 goals and 7 assists. Wow. Amazing. Stats won't show who performed better, but it can show who contributed more to each team. It's a no contest, really.
Whatever you think of Ben Arfa's style of play, our wide players are more productive and do more for the team. Walcott got 21 goals and 14 assists last season and was integral to our team. The tally he reached last season Ben Arfa will never ever get anywhere near.
