A time for honesty ?

I liked Luke’s story Wolfgang and it got me thinking about the most confusing place I have ever woken up.

You know that moment when you’re drifting back towards consciousness and one small part of your brain already knows something is very, very wrong but the rest of your brain is too busy screaming in pain to even consider thinking about it until you open your eyes and realise that something very unusual happened last night, that the explanations and apologies are going to be long and complicated and that getting home might be tricky with no money and dressed in a wetsuit and tutu.

Ah well, it was a good run though, 5 or so correct games, including the dropped points games.

oh and Wolfgang, for me the cup games are equally irrelevent but its a shame we do not use them to try and learn things tactically.
We just seem to throw an 11 together instead.

I guess that you cannot blame the manager for not being that interested when his time will be mostly spent focussing on the next important game, in this case a biggy on Saturday.

My boss is going on saturday takes in 4 or 5 games a season, every year for the last 20...never seen us lose

Notts co, stevenage and carlisle.....correct result and margin.
Bradford......wrong
Oldham.......correct result
Coventry, correct result and margin

So in summary, i am batting a very high average and getting both draws earns me bonus points

I am not sure its that we aren't interested in the cup games, I just think the defeats we have had in the League and FA cups this season have shown that we don't have a great strength in depth to our squad. In the League Cup we played too many kids cause that was before Jackett added to the squad. And last night we had a forward line that included Golbourne, Cassidy and Sigurdarson, none of whom are looking good enough to be in our attack even at this level.

Although promotion is clearly far more important I never think it is great for morale or player development to lose to inferior opposition
