When was the last time Villa won a Trophy?

There seems to be a bit of confusion in the footballing world, especially amongst villa fans, that villa are some kind of footballing powerhouse


the clown by the name of bumble is the main culprit on the villa board, but there are others.

I have just had a look at the record books and aston villa have not won a trophy since the mid 90s, when they beat leeds in the league cup final.

infact since then, they have not even been in a major final, infact since that day, they haven't even played at Wembley

Aston villa are the 3rd team in the west midlands currently.

west brom are actually good, so they are obviously first, birmingham have won a trophy and competed in Europe recently, and are in second. leaving relegation scrappers aston villa just ahead of wolves in 3rd.


here are further signals that aston villa are currently a small club.

1. can barely get a sell out
2. avoiding relegation is seen as a good season.
3. pisssed all their money up the wall on crap, and had to rely on kids.
4. fabian delph plays for them
5. spurs can actually score goals against them (as well as get 6 points every season)
6. never ever play in Europe, apart from in pre season friendlies
7. play in claret and blue, and therefore are automatically associated with the other small club, west ham united.


by the way. they did win the European cup once upon a time, incase you don't know any villa fans - those of you that do know some can testify that they mention that fact at least once every 25 minutes
