Jose Killing Two birds with one Shot.

As we all know Jose is the master of mind games in football. I think his interview was a double headed sword.

On one hand he was putting the pressure back on refrees to think twice before giving a bad decision regarding chelsea. Which the "Phone Call" had brought under a lot of negative spot light.

Second That is the classic case of building the us vs Them mentality Jose has installed in every single team he managed.

But i dont think this will be a straight forward routine for Jose. The players we have dont have the mental strength and experience that players he had during his first stint. This can back fire immensly on him as did the sacking of Wilkins and Mikel Vs Clattenberg saga did. So here is to Jose's plans coming to fruition .

I don't think it was mond games, I just think he made a very good and fair point and wanted to make everyone else aware that the apology in an isolated incident can have a detrimental effect for Chelsea with refs in the future

Busby , if it happens to every team from now on then we are fine . but if our game is the only one pointed out then that's bias and a problem

Exactly.

I would say that this has gone way too far already.

We see controversial decisions given all the time and no doubt there will be at least one this weekend.

Does this mean that referees will now have to ring up any team that feels hard done by ?

Maybe we can expect a nice little phone call from Ovrebo then.

Mind games are a myth

The managers of the most expensive teams / best teams on paper say "ooga booga" and when they win (which they were supposed to anyway) then the supporters of that club say "master of mind games".

pfffffft

It's rubbish

Once we have seen off Hammers later this will all be a distant memory

Hopefully...

Jose could fart in a press conference and the media would make it out to be some sort of mind game he was playing.

I think you've lost sight of the contents of Albion's letter to the PL and PGMOL.
The Chelsea-WBA game wasn't the only one mentioned in that letter, and nor was Mike Riley's apology the only one Albion have received this season.
Albion pointed out refereeing errors in awarding and not awarding penalties in four of their games so far this season - vs Southampton, vs Stoke (match referee Howard Webb rang WBA and apologised for that one), vs Arsenal and now vs Chelsea.
So yours wasn't the only one pointed out, so there's no bias, but there is a problem.
Referees have to be 100% certain that it's a penalty. Mike Riley clearly believes Andre Marriner couldn't have been 100% sure. What I want now is for Andre Marriner to come out and admit it.
