Who do you think was man of the match for either team. Imo for liverpool its easy mignolet saved several one on one chances. For Everton I know lakaku scored 2 but I though barkely had a very good game but I will go for Mccarthy I though he was everywhere today. The one player I wanted from wigan but felt a bit deflated we bought half there team

TKT.
I may sound bias but he is some player. Anyone who knows just a bit about the game can see it. With Gerrard and Suarez on the pitch he more than held his own in terms of ability.

tkt. Correct mate, I hadn't forgotten that, was just making the point. I do like the football we are playing now, but also believe Martinez should not be so stubborn in the way he wants us to play. In his way he is as bad as Moyes and his stubborn approach to defence at all costs.

Barkley. He just knows how to play football, he can be as good for us as Gerrard has for Liverpool.
I maybe ultra critical, but he always gets too much lift in his shots. He sky's more than he gets on target.

I disagree martis, I was worried we would try any play out from the back all the time like Martinez wants but the odd lob was what was needed in this type of game today.

hope he keeps it up we've not got anyone exceptional in the middle at the moment
Cleverley isn't good enough, Henderson is just solid, Wilshere lost whatever it was he had. Gerrard and Carrick are pushing 55 and are near done.
Even if it was for you lot I'd like to see someone who is 'a nailed on starter' for england come through.
Rooney was the last one to do that nearly a decade ago

Alas. I think he has the balls to try whatever he wants. He is not the complete player yet.
Wilshire will play deep for club and country. Will be used to dictate games

I don't want him to stop,I just like him to get more on target. I read that Baines has a bust toe.

Mignolet made several good saves and kept Liverpool in it at crucial times. My motm.

The toe came from a header challenge with henderson first half. Henderson landed on his foot

Everton's best player was clearly Phil Dowd
Distin swung an arm and connected with Agger - Red
And well as for the assault on Suarez, you can only image the outcry if it had been the other way around. They'd be asking for him to be in chains in the Tower of London!
Utterly utterly inept display from Liverpool's perspective but Everton's star man
