Important player this season

So a new season will begin.

In May we could be handed our 20th Premier League trophy, sending Kenny Dog-leash into an incredible spiral of envy, resulting in him spending £100 million on Titus Bramble, Joey Barton and Scott Dann.

But first of all I want to know who you guys think will be our most important player this season in us retaining our league title, and excelling in all other major competitions.

For me that guy has to be Nani. Seeing as Berbatov will probably be used as a bit part player, I firmly believe Nani is our most technically exceptional player within our squad. Last season how many times did the guy create something out of nothing, in games which looked all too dire and points were going to be dropped?

Even though he has his critics and maybe does opt for the wrong option at times, his willingness to be creative, try something different and integrate a bit of ingenuity in our games is what not only made us title contenders, but title winners.

Special mention should also go to Rooney. Think he will keep the team ticking, but what will make us stand out from the rest is Nani's genius.

Also I believe Anderson will step up this season. Injury free, good pre-season under his belt, and looks a lot more energized, composed and sharp on the ball.

Hmmm you are talking sense there Manyoo but I don't think he will perform as badly as the media, the scousers and every other anti-united person is dreaming of.

With Eric Steele as his goalkeeping coach, along with arguably the best man manger in the world and the morality within our dressing room, I can see him more likely than not having a very good debut season with us.

=======================

In that case, he will be one of our most important players in the coming season

If people are judging him after one game, then that's utter nonsense. On that basis, John O'Shea has better skills than Luis Figo.

And THE most important player will be Nani.

I'm not judging him on the basis of one game, mate.

I think you've missed my point - goalkeepers are such a huge part of any successful side that they tend to be defining players of a good season.

Rooney is still our most important player but Im excited about Young as now we have a decent set-piece taker!

No I completely understand what you are saying, but I'm looking at it also at the context that we have such a strong back line in our defence that they will take off a lot of the pressure on De Gea anyway.

I agree with this thinking. Defence is key (something the scousers don't seem to realise) so I would say Smalling as it's very likely Rio will be out and the responsibility to be rock solid will fall on his shoulders again.

De Gea needs to learn to throw the ball 60 yards for one of the wingers to run it into the net at lightning speed. Dying his hair blond and putting on 3 stone of muscle would be useful too

He did the former on Sunday! Unfortunately our winger did not carry out his part of the deal But I have complete faith in the Spaniard!
