well guys, first home game of the season is here. it seems like forever since the last "league" home game against ipswich.
im hoping we can continue the winning start we have made and am going for a 3-1 win today. nugent (2) and matt mills with the opener to silence the away fans would be quality.
pantsil has now had international clearence so is eligible to make his debut but do you think he will start.
my line up would be
schmeichel
pantsil bamba mills konchesky
abe
wellens fernandes
danns
waghorn nugent
i feel that our season may come undone during the early part of the campaign if we cant bring in that "natural" goalscorer that we desperately need.
what are your teams and predictions for today?
vs Reading

I think Sven will start with the following:
------------------------Schmeichel
Pantsil---------Mills----------------Bamba-----Konchesky
---------------------------Wellens
-----------------------------------------Fernandes
-------------------King
\
\
--Danns-------------v----------------------------Gallagher--
--------------------------Nugent----------------------------------
with King pushing up behind Nugent as and when.
I think with all the 'end of the world' talk based around our lack of a new striker, it wouldn't surprise me if things clicked in attack today and we won 4-1.
PS - Whilst on the topics of strikers, the American press have reported that Keane is going to join Galaxy in La La land.

I reckon MGLCFC's team is about spot on - King will surely start in place of Abe and I reckon Gally will get more of a run out at home too. The interesting one will be Bamba or St Ledger - that might tell us quite a bit about the substance behind these Blackburn rumours...

Anyone who saw Waghorn's performance on Tuesday night and read his body language will know he won't make the bench today.
I've always supported waggy, but Tuesday night spoke volumes - He just doesn't want to wear the shirt anymore

wasnt there tuesday but if thats the case with waggy then he needs to go. we only want players surely who want to be here. didnt realise abe didnt get back till yesterday so king would be the obvious choice, or could michael johnson get a start

I think the keeper and defence pick themselves today. I'd go for a 4-5-1.
Schmeichel
Pantsil - Mills - Bamba - Konchesky
Danns - Wellens - Fernandes - Gallagher
Schlupp
Nugent

Dear oh dear. From the radio commentary it sounds like there were good performances from Schmeichel, Bamba and maybe Wellens, and average/poor ones from all but Mills and Waghorne, who had what sounded like shockers. Not clear to me that Waggy is worth even a place on the bench.
How do those who were present see it?
