Is there any chance whatsoever that India can show a little pride, get stuck in, raise their chins and stop us from winning this test match?
If they do, can they then go on and win the final one?
I wouldn't be disappointed if that actually happened.I can not see it happening but imagine if India turned all this around and went home still as the best Test Match cricket team in the world.
They are going to have to show some enormous character over the next one and a bit test matches, but I for one wish them well, not least for their fans.
I have faith in England but am really looking forward to seeing some stubborn resistance from India today. It's now or never.
We have not got the number one spot yet.

Too true Dolly, but we would struggle on the sub continent despite having a cricket team full of players at the top of their game, or heading in that direction. Are you surprised by Andersens burst this morning? Expecting India to dig in? It looks like we really are just too good for them.
Sorry king-dalglish for sticking in the present and enjoying my teams fine efforts, as they are happening, today. Who cares about the future? We have work to do here. One step at a time but I have a good feeling about this.

Surprised by Anderson, no to be honest. he's the second best fast bowler in the world so a spell like this does not surprise me. India however i really thought would fight hard today and push us well into the 5th day.
Hmmm Maybe it's me who thinks this is the England team of a few years ago and not King Daglish !

Lovely comment sent through on Cricinfo:
"Even if only Cook had batted for Eng, Ind would still be fighting to avoid an innings defeat.

The answer to all the questions was NO. I had no idea we were playing against such a bunch of weak minded losers. 3:0 and will be a whitewash. This lot should seriously pack their bags and leave our shores.

Surely you want them to stay long enough to make it 4-0in tests and 5-0 in the ODI series.

lol hope, and good to see you are going for the jugular I am fed up with their lack of ability mate. We slaughtered Australia and Pakistan and Sri Lanka went down without a whimper, and I was expecting a good scrap here, but this is shocking stuff by India, the worst I have seen for years.

I must say Maksi, I'm fed up with hearing ex international players saying England are only top because the opposition is so weak.
I remember the average quality of opposition the great WI team and Aussie teams played against.
Great teams make their opponents look weak, that's how you measure greatness.

Couldn't agree more hope. I don't care what those has beens are saying. I am 46 years old and this current crop of England players are giving me loads of joy. Let's get one thing quite clear, those opening five Indian batsmen are good players, and we have made them look poor six times in a row now. They have not scored more than 280 odd as a team, and yet we score over 700. I wouldn't mind, but we did it to Australia too.
You and I can continue to enjoy our great success whilst the bitter and twisted ex pros can say what they like.
This series victory has been astonishing. We have killed them and every player has contributed when called upon.
