Henderson, 13 games, no goals

I think LFC should not buy English players anymore for first team. LFC should bring up their own English players through the academy. Because English players for first team are expensive, lack passion and lack loyalty. I was against the sell of Jonjo. Problem with Henderson, he is not creative like Gerrard or Countinho. Henderson best position is Box-to-box midfielder and should be assigned to break up opposition play, win the ball and release to the ball to a creative player.

Coutonho jas won three motm awards i believe. He imapcts the game positively.

True but the op is using stats to have a dig at Henderson when my point is he has contributed just as much as Coutinho. Henderson has also been involved in quite a few of our goals this season it's just he's never got the assist or the goal.

That one Henderson assist by the way was against Stoke when he gave Sturridge a 5 yard pass which only required him to shoot from 25 yards. I won't even call that an assist

No it wasn't Kash, he set up the 3rd goal against Fulham with this through ball.

I've said this before, I like Liverpool FC because of Rodgers, Coutinho, Sturridge, Suarez, Moses and all, and I would rather see you in the top four than United.

But Henderson just sticks out like a sore thumb. He's rather slow when carrying the ball as well. I couldn't believe my eyes on how sluggish he looked carrying that ball up the field in the Arsenal game when he fluffed his chance.

Today game (along with plenty of others) underlines annoyingly clearly that if Henderson is going to make it in football, won't be in attack midfield position.

I totally agree with the op on Henderson. Can't add more and i have already exusted my self saying it many times before

Henderson's best chance of making it is as a Darren Fletcher type all rounder.

A limited hard worker who stands out in certain games by running and closing down, scoring the odd goal every now and again.

Unfortunately that looks about the limit of his ability.

At the moment he doesn't even come close to the pre illness Darren Fletcher. My prediction is that he will be playing for a Sunderland/Fulham come 2013/14 season.
