Why have we got such a bad track record when it comes to signing big money strikers?
Ellington, Moore, Anichebe are 3 that spring to mind.
Long is an exception but he's hardly prolific is he?
We seem to have signed countless top class midfielders for peanuts so how come we've still struggled to nail the forward positions?
Strikers!

I haven't seen much of 'Big' Vic but he does seem to fall over alot for a big fella.
Early days for him and too early for me to have formed an informed opinion...

He's like Bambi on ice and he's afraid to shoot. Apart from that he's ace!

Harry
No surprise there though, we seem to see most things the same regarding Baggies.
Smart fella

One thing's for sure is that Anichebe has the best link up play with our midfield, which is our biggest asset, out of our strikers

To be honest, I haven't been impressed with what I've seen of Big Vic so far but, perhaps I've been spoiled with Rom Lukaku.
Big Vic seems to be a bit on the clumsy side and can't see him scoring much. Don't think he has an abundance of skill either.
Time will tell.

But that's because he's the only one who plays with his back to goal. The others play on the shoulder of the last man.
You could argue that he offers something different but is it something that we need?

Creativity wise. Yes. If we want to see nice, passing football. Yes.
Anichebe is the only one who can take the ball, hold it up and bring the on running creative midfielders into play.

Agreed, he can do that when he's not falling over.
He's also the only striker we've got who'll pass when in a good shooting position.

Great strength and turn by Big Vic to take his goal today...

Yes hopefully he can get himself on a run now. Vydra also played a part coming off the bench and setting up two.
