IMO it would be a travesty if we took the likes of Welbeck, Young and Cleverly to the World Cup. None of them merit a place on club form and that is where we should look.
Lallana needs to go and I think Lambert provides a good option as well. i also think Gareth Barry could be a good shout, seems to dictate the tempo at Goodison Park
ravel Morrison seems to be doing well for a struggling West Ham side and that should be enough for him to go. Jonny Howson playing well for Norwich so far so think he;d be worth a shot.
Thoughts?
Squad for 2010

Welbeck's actually done pretty well for England... Has a much better record for them than the likes of Walcott and Sturridge although Sturridge hasn't had a huge amount of chances....

I think Welbeck needs to merit playing for England though. It should be a reward to players who play well, not play for big clubs

Roy likes Welbeck because he plays the pressing game well on the left side. Don't particularly mind Welbeck TBH.
Ravel could be a dark horse for the squad and an impact sub option. Agree with Barry too. Not much else out there with both Sterling and Zaha failing to make the mark this season.

That's what I am saying though, Welbeck has played well for England and that is why he should get a place no matter who he plays for.

I think we should start looking forward. 2010 should be left in the past.
