Sherlock is brilliant but inevitably difficult to put together on a regular basis. They have commissioned a fourth series, though, which is good.

I must confess that I've struggled to get into Ripper as much as Sherlock, but it's much better than most Dramas on TV - I watch very little TV these days other than some comedy stuff but found the time to follow it for its first series and I'm going through the recordings of this series. One thing I do think is that it wasn't really suited to a second series and seemed very much a one-series kind of show.

If you like Sherlock and Ripper you should check out Luther. It's very good

Elementary with Jonny Lee Miller in,and Blacklist are both a good watch.
