About time we beat United, may not be a better chance

We have done quite well against the teams around us, so let's not fear any of the next 4 fixtures.
Only issue we have is that our young team can suddenly throw in an awful performance.
Things definitely moving in the right direction.
The future is claret & blue

Think of NEXT 5; that'll take us to the end of the first half of the season. Fulham, MU, Stoke, Palace, Swansea. We can beat any of that lot. Will we?
Fulham; Lawro has them to beat us. He's nuts. So long as we play with the same commitment we did against Southampton, the chances are we'll win it. Jol going doesn't improve a generally fading team.
MU: always a good game. Don't underestimate them, but we'll be up for it. I think we can contain them, and their defence isn't wonderful. Hope Benteke's back to form.
Stoke. Their set pieces are no longer deadly. They can't score. Another good chance for us.
Palace: We're better than they are. Although Pulis will make it difficult.
Swansea: Lambert has a knack of getting decent results against them.
Unknowns:
(1) Lambert has said he'll use his full squad. He may even spring the odd surprise in formation and tactics. He takes risks. They might well come off.
(2) Vlaar's injury is a factor.
(3) We don't know what toll the programme will take. But we are much better set up than last year.
My guess: I'd be disappointed with anything less than 2 wins 1 draw and 2 losses. The potential is there to do better. 7-9 points? Looking forwards to this lot.

We never seem to beat United so would be long overdue should we beat them this season. Last season we were 2-0 up and lost 3-2 and a few years back we were also 2 up and they came back to draw 2-2. Don't think we have anything to fear judging by their results this season, but we have rolled over for Everton and Spurs at home so not really sure how it will go.
The other games are all winnable, but I think we might draw with Fulham and Swansea. We beat Swansea last season so would be disappointing to not win again but they are a decent side. Fulham away we shouldn't lose but it might be a draw because they are fighting to stay up and the new manager might kick them into gear. They were unlucky to lose to Tottenham. Palace home should be no excuses if we don't win. Stoke away we should also win (we did last season) but they look ok under Hughes.
Personally, I also think we should be looking at between 7 and 9/10 points. Anything less than 6 would be disappointing. I think the results will be:
.Fulham (a) - draw
.United (h) - lose
.Stoke (a) - win
.Palace (h) - win
.Swansea (h) - draw
Giving us eight points from the next five and 27 points from 19 going into the new year. If I'm right then we can all enjoy a nice Christmas and new year!
