Reports in today's papers suggest that Porto would like to have AVB back. Now is this speculation or based on some credible evidence?
Apparently their current coach is not held in high regard & he might be on his way come January. The Evening Standard is also reporting that AVB has 7 matches to save his job, he has been told that the club has not spoken to other coaches or managers (allegedly) but things must improve through December.
How true these reports are, I don't know. However he is still very highly thought of at Porto, so there might be some truth in the rumour they want him back.
I for one would like to see him finish what he has started and judge him at the end of this season, however it is not my decision but Daniel Levy's ultimately. We also know there is little or no sentiment in football & decisions are based on results and final finishing positions.
How do you guys view these latest rumours??
I am off in to hospital for an arthroscopy today (in & out in a day) on my right knee. It is just a general clean up after over 55 years of sporting activity!!
I shall look forward to seeing your comments at some point after I (hopefully) wake up from the general anaesthetic later today.

If Genius never returns, then those ill-chosen comments about the Spurs physios finally caught up with him (hospital security in North Mid is so lax) .

I would be surprised as porto could not afford the compensation.
has the feel of the ramos situation to me. A change is on the cards but a few more painful results will happen before the axe falls. In my opinion.
good luck gg.....you will be back with the sports in no time. Hope all goes well.

It's probably rubbish but I am slightly worried. Not because of this but maybe if December doesn't go as well as we hope will he still be with us come January?

Hi Guys, many thanks for all the good wishes. Operation went well & now home with foot up resting. Hospital staff were brilliant, still the best medical service in the World!
Looking forward to watching us win tomorrow evening, hopefully!
