Sunderland's last two games against Villa away and Chelsea at home have saw them play some excellent football, but with only one point to show for it. In both games Sunderland were denied what were clear penalties, to everyone but the ref that is, which could have changed the dynamics of the whole season never mind them two games. On Saturday we welcome another one of the top sides in the league in Spurs, but I will be going to the game full of hope that we can get something out of this one, simply because we are now playing good football. All we need is a few breaks to go our way for a change to kick start our season...

As a Sunderland fan, it's hard to acknowledge that we are over-achieving but rooted to the bottom of the table.
Even with Gus Poyet at the helm, we still suck giant donkey a$$.
Maybe we should look to improve our first XI by looking at players like Matthew Upson at Brighton, and Matt Derbyshire at Nottingham Forest?
