We have a tough game Sunday and it is quite possible that we will lose. After Sunday though we have a run of 7 games that are all very winnable. Fulham, Swansea, Sunderland, Southampton, Stoke, Norwich and West Brom.
Now I don't expect to pick up 21 points from those games but we have a great chance to stamp a solid top 4 challenge if we can get through those games without too much error.
All the teams around us have harder games in this period and will take points off each other too.
Basically if we do lose to Arsenal then we still have an awful lot to say in the top 4 race and if we were to beat Arsenal then we could end up in a surprising position towards the end of January.
Run of games after Arsenal

We have had a little tricky run of games mixed with a few games we should have picked up maximum points from (no disrespect to the clubs)
The fact that only City have beaten us in the league so far is amazing and partly down to the defensive unit Moyes assembled, but also the confidence Marinez has instilled into the squad we started September with.
He has us playing with a style that he developed from Moyes percentage game.....using the same players. For the past three seasons we have been good to watch in the final third with Baines, Ossie, Pienaar, Mirallas, Coleman all being exciting options. But Martinez has us playing with the ball from from front to back (we can and still do go long when needed)

When you look at the fixtures they seem easier...
Fulham, Swansea, Sunderland, Southampton, Stoke, Norwich and West Brom.
We owe Fulham for the LC defeat....but they have a new manager in and could be tough. Swansea, Southampton and WBA are the toughest in my opinion....
But there are no easy games really. Lets hope to remain unbeaten after the WBA game and really give it a good go for the top four.

Heard that before, I hope Martinez can keep us going all season

January will be interesting. See who he could possibly add to the squad that wont cause disruption. I think we will see Johnny H leave us...which will free up a squad slot.

Don't want to point tally either but if we don't get through this period with a solid chunk of points then we simply don't deserve the top 4 challenge. A title contending side would expect a minimum of 16 points from those 7 games and its that mentality that we need.

We will play with confidence tomorrow at Arsenal. A point would be a great result, but I think we'll do them. 1-0 Barkley. COYB!
On the down - side, we'll probably lose to Fulham at home after that, or have I just been an Evertonian too long?

I know the feeling Romania but all my pessimism about Everton's consistency is slowly receding now Moyes is gone

If we actually go and play to get a result rather than a lucky draw I will be happy (how we played in the past)
Martinez says all the right things. Will be a tough game.

It's going to be a tall order picking up a point let alone three,I'm just hoping we put up a decent show. I remember the RS giving it big I am just before the met the Gunners, and they got turned over quite easily.
