Next great allrounder?

Well, we shall have to see if he can maintain his batting average against attacks a bit more threatening than India's, but for me he's done enough to keep Tremlett on the sidelines at the Oval.

If he can boast similar figures from teh South Africa tour next summer, then yes, he will be the next great all rounder.

But then again, so might Broad be....

haha I love the way the conversation now goes to England having to beat South Africa. The same was said about beating Australia, and then when we did that the call was wait until we have beaten India hahaha More punishment dealt out here so now it's South Africa. Isn't it just simple statement of fact? If the saffers beat us on our home turf next summer will they not overtake us in the table?

Therefore to maintain our position then yes, the conversation turns to having to beat South Africa.

Doesn't mean we can't enjoy being number one now tho'

If we get beaten by Pakistan and SL we may already have lost number 1 ranking, so don't lets get ahead of ourselves.
Fortunately Andy Flower recognises the threat these two teams are, you should do the same.

Nether he, nor anyone in Yorkshire will ever profess that he will be a great all rounder. A good one, yes. His batting is and will never be 'any great shakes'.

Brezzo is just a useful cricketer that will always produce decent performances at any level. He will never be great.
