If this transfer does happen, it will be a shocking piece of business IMHO. It was only a few months ago that he snubbed Spurs and went to Anfield.
Well he made his bed and he should now have to lie in it and not bank on his Uncle Harry to bale him out.
If he's not good enough for Liverpool then he shouldn't be good enough for Spurs, especially considering the massive package we will have to offer him to join.
If this deal is done, it will be on a par with the huge mistake Harry made re-signing Keano and Liverpool will once again be laughing their heads off at our expense.
Leave the mercenary in Liverpool reserves and bring in players that will improve the squad otherwise we will end up bankrolling another has been.

Apparently Cole's Agent and the club have now issued statements along the lines that we have no interest in the player.
Let's just hope that this is the case.

Not sure what happened to Joe Cole - seems like it was a rare good decision by Chelsea not to be held to ransom over a contract. Truth is that he hasn't been the same since shining for the first 2 months under Scolari. That is the injury that has held back his career IMO but you never know, the do say that class is permanent. So maybe all is not lost.

We will let Liverpool help him to regain his form by playing him on a regular basis and when he is turning in MOM performances and banging in the goals, maybe then we will think about bringing him back to London.

Why don't you buy him back for £3M and pay him £90k per week then?

I can think of 90,000 reasons each week as to why Joe Cole might want to stay at LiverpoolFC and not move South. JimmyTheRed

If the spuds take JC we could throw in Poulsen as a sweetener.

Poulsen as a sweetener? Are you mad? Konchesky would be more suited I reckon.
