| Since Anzhi owner Suleyman Kerimov decided in August to reduce his previously lavish spending on the club, they have dropped to the bottom of the Russian top-flight. Following the departures of Roberto Carlos, Samuel Eto'o, Willian and Christopher Samba, they have won only two of their last 28 games. Striker Lacina Traore, signed for a reported £15.8m from Kuban Krasnodar in June 2012, is still at the club but is unlikely to play against Tottenham. Eriksen has not appeared for Spurs since injuring his ankle in Denmark's friendly against Norway on 15 November. Tottenham and Austrian side Salzburg are the only two teams to have 100% records in the group stages. Boss Andre Villas-Boas says he will continue with the rotation policy that he has used so far in the tournament. "It has been our pattern in the Europa League to make seven, eight changes or more," he said. "It has worked well for us. "We have the quality in our squad and have maximum points so far. We will continue to do that." As group winners, Tottenham will play the second leg of their first match in the knock-out stages at home. |
