I think he has a fair point.

I have no problem with drivers who bring their own money with them provided the talent is there. Alonso for instance has santander money and if Hamilton moved to another team, pretty sure they would take sponsors with them.
When you have a donkey like Maldonado moving to teams and keeping out more talented drivers, it's a bit hard to take.
I do agree however that as an employee it is your duty to provide your team with additional support when required

I agree with that MUDD, F1 needs to be a complete meritocracy and it just isn't right now. Perhaps instead of Bernie taking huge chunks of money out of the sport, it could go into some sort of scholarship program that can be introduced to fund young drivers with talent. They especially need to bring down the costs of competing in GP2.

Quote from Jean Todt
"the Single Seater Commission, presided over by grand prix-winner Gerhard Berger, is charged with simplifying racing's ladder to create a coherent path for young drivers graduating from karting. At present a maze exists – as proved by the confusing variety of paths to stardom chosen by the present Formula 1 grid – and one wonders how many promising youngsters wrong-slotted along the way.”

Adrian Sutil, considered the best driver in the wet, secured a drive for Sauber.
Paul di Resta considered to be the biggest failure and moaner in F1, is quite justifiably failing to secure a drive.
So there is justice after all.

Redbull were scared to sign him because the last time he was in the same team with Vettel he beat him and people wonder why I'm not entirely convinced about the all conquering supremo that is Seb.
Surprised Chilton's still has a drive, yes he finished all the races in his rookie year but he's another pay driver
