Shrewsbury:
Neuer, Piszczek, Boateng, Mangala, Marcelo, De Rossi, Kroos, Robben, Mata, Ribery, Kruse

Subs:
Khedira, Alonso, Cazorla, di Maria, Maxim

The Game:
Well the game was very much dominated by Aberdeen in the possession stakes but Shrewsbury’s pressing can wasn’t allowing Aberdeen to get the ball too far up the pitch and in all truth this game was very much a dogged fight in the midfield area. However, a moment of lapse in concretion from the away side saw Aberdeen have the first chance of the game and it came from a lovely break down the left from Felipe who played a neat 1-2 with Neymar and Felipe crossed a lovely high ball into the box only for Lukaku’s header to go just over the bar. Our first of the day went to Kroos after a clumsy challenge on Ozil around the eighteen yard box. Ozil dusts himself down and he fires his free kick just wide of Neuer’s post. The game was still 0-0 as we headed into the break.

After the break we continued with a game that was battled in midfield and none of the sides were willing to give each other a inch of space to get through. 0n 50 minutes though we have an incident, with Mangala elbowing Lukaku and retaliating so both players end up in the ref’s note book with a . However, on 60 mins the away side are given a pen after Kruse out thought Chiellini and is brought down in the area. Chiellini is given a . Robben on pen duty for Shrewsbury takes the pen BUT HE MISSES IT!. After that Aberdeen break down the pitch and Felipe swings a lovely high ball into the box and Lukaku stands tall and heads the ball into the box of the net to give the homeside the lead. Just before the match ends we had an incident where Robben almost took Sanchez out and the ref was given no option but to give the Dutchman a .

Final score: Aberdeen 1-0 Shrewsbury
Aberdeen scorer: Lukaku (Felipe)
MOTM: As this match was so close and must of the match was spent in the middle third I think I’m gonna give Bender the MOTM award.
:
Aberdeen 2: Chiellini and Lukaku
Shrewsbury 3: Kroos, Mangala and Robben

Harrogate v Burnley

The Match

It was clear here from both selections that the 2 managers were as worried about the others tactics and selections as they were their own Tbag line up with his tried and trusted 4-2-3-1 and LSTD with 4-3-3. A few strong challenges in midfield right from the off by both Kondogbia and Ramires showed that Harrogate were up for this game and wanted to stamp their authority right from the start. Harrogate were passing nicely, short and crisp and nothing over elaborate. It was however end-to-end stuff and after both teams got in to their rhythm the first goal came on the half hour. Great work down the left flank by Cole and then Hazard saw a wonderful ball whipped in. It was millimetre perfect and Koscielny’s outstretched leg couldn’t stop Tevez getting his head on to it. He doesn’t miss those from 6 yards. 1 – 0 Harrogate. With Harrogate and Kondogbia in particular bossing the midfield, Burnley were looking to their midfield to step it up a gear and try and supply their attack with some ammunition. A quickly taken goal kick saw Koscielny come charging out of defence with the ball. With Harrogate for some reason looking scared to put a tackle in it was Ramires who gave away the inevitable foul in his own half on 40 mins. With Harrogate protesting about the wall a quick thinking Fabregas took the free kick quickly and slipped the ball through to Rooney who rounded the keeper and made it 1 -1.

HALF TIME : Harrogate 1 – 1 Burnley

The second half started again at full pace and it was clear that both these teams saw the next goal as crucial. This goal was to come on 50 mins and it was the Harrogate RB, Azpilicueta of all people to get his name on the scoresheet. Another great probing run from Messi saw Azpilicueta go on the overlap. Baines totally wrong footed himself and slipped letting Azpilicueta get away from him. He never looked like he was going to cross it and with absolute precision he unleashed what will probably be the best shot of his career beyond the fingertips of Ter Stegen and into the top corner 2 – 1. Harrogate were bossing the midfield and on 70mins Burnley were the first to make a change. On came Illarremendi on for Flamini to inject a bit of freshness in the midfield. A good decision it would seem as from a corner 2 minutes later he was the man who volleyed a half clearance from a corner into the net to make it 2-2. A few more subs from both sides didn’t have much affect tbh. Both managers seemed happy with a point

FULL TIME : Harrogate 2 – 2 Burnley

1 – 0 : Tevez(Hazard)

1 – 1 : Rooney (Fabregas)

2 – 1 : Azpilicueta (Messi)

2 – 2 : Illarremendi

MOTM : Kondogbia – Really good game in midfield.

Harrogate< yellow> 1 - Luiz

Burnley 3 – Jenkinson, Flamini, Rooney

Leeds v Dagenham

Leeds:
Krul, Van Rhijn, Badstuber, Denswil, Hinty, Pearce, Gibbs, Martin, Nainggolan, Pugh, Smith

Dagenham:
Lloris, Lahm, Silva, Ramos, De Sciglio, Martinez, Gundogan, Muller, Gotze, Bale, Lewandowski

Subs:
Rossi, Draxler, Barkley, Cavani, Bender, Dante

The Match:
Well on paper this match should have been won easily by Dagenham but this was one of those days where even the best of teams come unstuck against a team that was defending for their lives. It was wave after wave of attacks from Dagenham but they just couldn’t blow Leed’s house down all match. The closest we’d get to a goal though was just before the break and it was brilliant work down the left from Dagenham with Bale running at Van Rhijn and crossing a lovely ball into the box but Lewandowski has left his shooting boots at home and his shot goes well wide of the Leeds goal.

During the half time interval we had a massive bust up in the tunnel which saw nine players go into the ref’s book. Ramos, Silva and Martinez from Dagenham, Krul, Badstuber, Pearce, Gibbs, Smith and Naingolan for Leeds.

After that Dagenham continued to dominate all the possession but yet again like the first half a goal was just not looking likely.

Full time score:
Leeds 0-0 Dagenham
MOTM: Naingolan – helped his side to a very good draw
:
Leeds 6: Krul, Badstuber, Pearce, Gibbs, Smith and Naingolan
Dagenham 3: Ramos, Silva and Martinez

Salisbury v Stockport

Salisbury:
Enyeama, Zabaleta, Kompany, Mascherano, Kolvarov, Yaya, Fer, Pogba, Ben Arfa, Martinez, Ronaldo
Subs:
Buffon, Frode, Pezella, Ibe, Ings

Subs:

Stockport:
Amos, Alves, Subotic, Simunovic, Pique, Jones, Alba, Veratti, Carrick, Imbula, Reus
Subs:
Herrera, Eriksen, Januzaj, Benteke, Kovacik

The Match:
Well it was a brave tactic from Park to change his team the way he did and Salisbury dominated the game in every way shape and form in the first half but they just couldn’t blow Stockport’s house down before half time. The one thing that did happen however, is Ronaldo’s eyes caught the glance of an attractive woman’s bb's and he was in a whirl up until his boss shuck him up.

After the break Stockport changed their team shape and the game began to open with Yaya playing Martinez in for the first goal of the game. It wasn’t long after that that Salisbury doubled their lead with Ronaldo cutting in from the left and firing the ball past Amos from 20 yards out. After that the game went stale and nothing really happened until a massive bust up between Ronaldo, Pogba, Veratti and Benteke after a nasty challenge from Veratti on Ronaldo, all four receive ’s. After that the game goes back to been stale.

Final score:
Salisbury 2-0 Stockport
Salisbury scorers: Martinez (Yaya), Ronaldo
MOTM: Yaya Toure

Salisbury: Ronaldo and Pogba
Stockport: Veratti and Benteke

Sekhukhune Lions v Fishguard

Sekhukhune Lions:

Fishguard:

Southend v Cambuur

Southend:
Mignolet, Ivanovic, Bonucci, Ogbonna, Santon, Strootman, Wanyama, Pjanic, Insigne, Sturridge, Aguero
Subs:
Negredo, Thauvin, Dier, Berahino, Ten

Cambuur:
Gabriel, Danilo, Dede, Doria, Sandro, Romulo, Thiago, Firmino, Coutinho, Bernard, Icardi
Subs:
Perin, Reyes, Fernando, Vargas, Muriel

The Match:
Well this was a hard fought match, with Cambuur looking to retain the possession throughout the game but Southend were pilling all the pressure on and nicking the ball off the Cambuur midfield when possible. However a slip from Wanyama saw Coutinho get on the ball and he passes the ball out wide for Bernard and he takes Ivanovic on and crosses the ball into the box and Thiago fires a shot just wide of the Southend goal. Our first came when Danilo made a late challenge on Aguero who was cutting in on his right foot and ready to fire a shot at the goal. A free kick was given to Southend and Aguero took it and it flew over Gabriel’s goal. In all truth of the matter these two teams really cancelled each other out and we saw a second of the day go to Wanyama for back chatting the ref after a decision went against Southend.

After the break the game was very much even and no team was looking like breaking the deadlock. However, on 60 mins we have a penalty and it’s gone to Cambuur! Bernard ran at Ivanovic and crossed the ball into the box for Icardi and Icardi is pushed to the floor by Ogbonna and the ref points to the spot and Ogbonna is given a . While Icardi is slowly getting back up, it’s Bernard who places the ball on the spot and he takes the pen and it’s a goallllllllllllllllllllllllllllll to Cambuur. That goal came on 65 mins. On 75 mins it’s a Cambuur change and it’s Vargas on for Frimio, a minute later Southend bring on Negredo for Insigne. On 80 minutes it’s Muriel on for Icardi for Cambuur and Southend chuck on Thauvin for Pjanic. On 82 minutes we have our second goal of the game and it comes from brilliant play from Sturridge down the right wing and he crosses the ball into the box and Negredo fires the ball past Gabriel to maybe earn Southend a point. The game in the last ten minutes has opened up and we have the ball in the back of the net again but is it gonna count?

OH NO! The ref has blown up for offside and it’s Coutinho who put the ball into the back of the net. Replays show he was on side, Coutinho is livid and so are the rest of the Cambuur side are so much so Coutinho finds himself going into the ref’s book with a for back chat.

Final score:
Southend 1-1 Cambuur
Southend scorer: Negredo (Sturridge)
Cambuur: Bernard (PK)
MOTM: With the game dominated in midfield I’ll give it to Strootman.

Southend 2: Wanyama and Ogbonna
Cambuur: Danilo and Coutinho

Sekhukhune Lions v Fishguard

The game was exactly what was expected, lovely football quick passing and a really exciting game of football.

The first breakthrough came from Finnbogasson, fed through by Maher he managed to push the ball between the Lions centre back pairing. It was quick thinking by De Gea that stopped the Fishguard man from scoring.

The first goal did come in the first half and it was a super winding run from Luis Suarez. He took the ball from the far right and weaved around the Fishguard defence. However De Vrij stopped the run with a flying lunge on the Uruguayan for De Vrij... the penalty was taken by Costa who slammed the ball away with confidence.

A second goal came in the second half and again Suarez was key, played in by Isco and again another amazing run and this time he was able to push the ball into the corner of the goal himself.

Fishguard didn't deserve to enter the dressing rooms 2-0 down and the second half was Fishguard on the attack... the attack however for two of the fishguard players happened to be on Witsel, the Lions midfield man won the ball in the middle of the pitch and Maher and Blind had decided the best option was to both go in at knee height studs up. for both the players.

Fishguard did get their goal however, 81 minutes gone and Narsingh had got on the ball, he was direct and went straight for the jugular.
Benatia saw the red mist and dived in on the fishguard boy, this meant a for Benatia and a free kick for Fishguard. Maher stepped over it and it thundered against the post, this fortunately rolled straight to the feet of Depay who didn't miss.

The game ended 2-1 but it was an incredibly close game and either team could have been the victor... the points stay in Africa though.

Final Score:

Lions 2 - 1 Fishguard

Scorers: Lions: Costa (p), Suarez (Isco). Fishguard: Depay (Maher)

MOTM: Suarez was on form today and gave the Fishguard defence a headache.

Lions 1: Benatia. Fishguard 3: Maher, Blind, De Vrij.

---------------------------------------------------

Tenby v Blackpool

Tenby was in a sad mood after hearing news of the early resignation of manager Di and this mood seemed to spill over on to the pitch... it was sloppy from the home team and Pride's team were able to take the game to them with a very attacking line up.

Schweinsteiger was key to the Blackpool team today and it was his tackle on Schone that set up the first and only goal of the game, it was a great timed sliding tackle and a quick release ball down the wing.

The ball found Dzagoev who managed to unleash a thunderbolt into the top left from the edge of the box.

Despite the dominance of Pride's men today they lacked the finish on a lot of good plays...Kagawa being a massive culprit of being a step behind in his movement than the rest of the team, maybe he had eaten too much again

On the stroke of halftime Tenby believed they should have had a penalty when Silva was brought down in the box by Capoue, however the referee gave a to the spaniard for diving...there was certainly contact but I'm not sure whether it would havebeen enough.

Tenby's best chance actually came from Rakitsky. Pedro whipped in a cross to Torres but Rakitsky in an attempt to win the ball first thundered a header against his own cross bar... bar this though Tenby were under the kosh and spent a great deal of the time chasing the ball.

Pirlo earnt himself a late on for a cynical tackle preventing a tenby counter attack which may have led to more.

Full time: Tenby 0 - 1 Blackpool

Scorers: Blackpool: Dzagoev (Schweinsteiger)

MOTM: Schweinsteiger, controlled the middle of the pitch today and his team should have had a few more.

: Tenby: Silva. Blackpool: Pirlo
