Don't blame poor old Baggie Man but has JP been listening to me ?
http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/243057
"RDM was sacked after a similar run. Might we be singing 'Sacked in the morning' after the Cardiff game? Has SC lost the dressing room? Was SC last season, living off what Uncle Woy had achieved previously ? Should he gamble with a 4-4-2 line up as the lone striker just doesn't seem to work. In short, is it P45 time for SC ?"
The article provoked limited debate but, although it has proved prophetic, in all honesty, I didn't expect that to happen so quickly and begs the question, is JP right? Consider the following:
1) Only 7 wins in the last 34 games
2) New signings not coming up to expectation
3) Biggest wage bill in our history and relegation beckoning
4) The 'Lukaku' factor
5) Sheer bad luck
6) Bad refereeing costing us at least 5 points
7) Poor team selection and formation
I seem to remember an article somewhere giving stats that showed that if we hadn't had Rom's goals, we would have only been one place down - finishing 9th.
Is it over-reaction from JP ?
Should he have given SC a little longer ?
Do we want another 'Johnny Foreigner' manager plus interpretor ?
There will be some talk in the pubs today !
This was The Baggie Man
Was it the right decision ?

Superb. I understand that you would be interested in SC as he was/is well respected by Chelsea.
Lets be clear, Albion employ a 'continental' system of management. SC was not the 'manager', he was the head coach and as such it was his job to select the team for games and to, as the title suggests, lead the way in training. Nobody interfers with his role and therefore he takes sole responsibility for results.
Simply, like any other business, targets are set and have to be met. If the guy responsible fails to meet targets then he is replaced. Simple.
Nothing else at the club changes.
Also, this is not a knee jerk reaction. SC was due contract talks but was 'delayed' until Jan. Behind the scenes the powers, Jeremy Peace and Richard Garlick, will have already been moving to replace Steve. I think only a huge improvement for the last 2 months would have saved him. This didn't happen, in fact, things got worse.
Horrible as it is, there is no room for sentiment in football.

Moyes went on just as bad runs while at Everton as did Roberto Martinez at Wigan. The difference is that they had patient chairmen who could see the bigger picture.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moyes never went on a run of 7 wins in 12 months as far as I am aware, nor did Martinez despite a much more limited budget. Please do research before giving judgement.

It's absolutely the right decision. We were going backwards with no sign of a reversal of fortunes, and certainly none in the football we were playing.

Yep, aries. Christmas would have been very messy.

Thing annoys me when you sack a coach other fans who can't see the bigger picture think they know better than fans that see week in week out.

Talk about sitting on the fence.... I'm switching every 20mins from the sack being a good thing to the sack being a bad thing and too drastic, too soon.
What I fear is a mumbo-jumbo speaking Johnny Foreigner with no experience of the Prem but, on the other hand, he might do a Southampton or Swansea albeit the latter haven't been too hot of late.
Que sera, sera I suppose

If it works half as well as when RDM was sacked it will be another masterstroke. Up to now Peace has barely put a foot wrong. Just needs to find a Hodgson waiting in the wings - simples.

Why don't you give Terry Connor a try until the end of the season?
