Despite all the injuries across the squad, and that's before we acknowledge the weak area that is a midfield, it appears that Anderson still can't force his way into the reckoning to start a game. It appears that Moyes would prefer to trust a 40-year-old and a Central Defender to play in central midfield rather than risk Anderson. Where does this leave Anderson now as we approach the transfer window?
Who are likely to come in for him (I wouldn't entertain a loan as we need to get some of the fringe players off the books so we can rebuild)?
This scenario can also be applied to a lesser extent to Fabio - obviously not rated by Moyes as he doesn't seem t be able to get game-time despite players being injured and requiring rest.
Do you think we will see the last of these two over the next 6 weeks or so, and where are they likely to end up?
What do they need to do?

He will probably be used in the deal for that Porto player we were looking at, maybe even Fabio too

Who have we been linked with from Porto?

It's time for Ando to leave. I'm one of his biggest fans but it appears he's not in the managers plans.

We need one addition at least for that central midfield during January - we need to be realistic as to the quality available, but we need someone that will release Jones to play at CB. It can't be that difficult to improve on what we have already surely??!!

Mangala, their beast of a centre back

I watched William Carvalho last night play 90 minutes.
Quietly impressive in what seems a decent Sporting team.

I get the feeling he just wants to keep him fit so he can offload him

Fabio's constant omission to me is very strange, given that we are talking about a player who played in and excelled in a CL final. Was excellent in the run-up to the final as well.
Why he wasn't playing when Rafa was out i just don't know.
Anderson provides all the pace and energy we want, but for me his quality on the ball is a question mark as is his fitness. I'd like to see him get a run of games but again, doesn't look like it's happening.

DG Legs - he has to be fair. I just feel that his best position is CB and he needs to bed himself into that position and make it his own now.
JSPC - I do feel we need to sign another CB but perhaps in the summer, and perhaps a more experienced one.
I hope we don't go through another window without an addition to the centre of the field!!!
