Win third test,i don't think so!!

Isnt Carberry englands highest run scorer in the series? He has done quite well if im honest.

It's criminal for an opener to see off the new and then get out. He has to be held accountable for that. He's not exactly a youngster learning the game.

At least Carberry has scored at a good tempo but the likes of Cook and Root and been way too negative. What is the point of blocking and scoring at 2 runs an over. It just means the 2nd new ball will come with barley 200 on the board.

That's the point Kash.. England put Root upto 3 not because they wanted to get onwith the game. But to see of the new ball if we lost an early wicket.
Bell or Kp would have upped the tempo a bit more. But a test match is 5 days and England want to take the game into the 5th day. which they have on the past 2 tests. But will get hammered In both.

Carberry is one of them players that looks good but will never score anything half decent. reminds me of the left hander for the west-indies.. powell isn't it? he looks excellent for 30 but gets out.

I'd think Carbeery has justified his spot for the remander of this series, and maybe the next.

There are far bigger issues which need to be addressed at the moment

Problem with Root was he was so negative that he even blocking the half volleys and long hops. Bell would never had done that as they would have gone to the fence. I think its time out for Root so he can work on his game.
