Will this damage AVB's "reputation"

I'm sure you guys will be picking the bones out of the AVB car-crash for today at least. So I'll leave you lot to it on that front.

Personally, I think it IS an over-reaction! I think Levy needs to shoulder a large portion of responsibility NOT just AVB. AVB's a decent, young manager, who still has a lot to learn. He needs to handle the media more intelligently and looking forward, maybe pick his next club wisely.

What I'm asking (Spurs fans), who have spent nearly 18 months under the AVB flag, is this;

Will this (sacking) damage his reputation? Maybe a silly question, it's hardly a gold-star next to his name. But, there are many, who will say that the Spurs board have been way too over-zealous and trigger happy in letting the Portuguese hip, young gunslinger go...?

AVB got given a short-straw, but at the time, I think the job was to big for him (at The Bridge). I actually thought Spurs was a good fit. And, given time and most importantly, patience, he could have done a good job. Of course what I think matters zilch and the powers that be at The Lane thought very differently!

Will AVB be given a swerve by any half decent club in the immediate future? Is this a big skid-mark on his CV? Or will the football fraternity look at Spurs (the club and the board) as the clowns who made AVB the fallguy?

I think it has damaged his reputation. At both Chelsea and Spurs now he has proved to be too rigid in his approach, and this I think has been why he has failed.

Can’t see him getting another job in England anytime soon but he will get a job in Portugal or Spain no problem. What he achieved with Porto is still a remarkable achievement

It's damaged his reputation in England, but he will walk into another job abroad.

It's only 5 mins ago he was being linked with PSG and Inter.
