Had there been a bunch of actual Leeds fans there he would have got properly boo'd. Instead it's just a bunch of people who don't really care about football that were given free tickets.

I had to turn it off. Made me sick watching all the praise they were giving him.

Didn't watch to give it too Murray what personality has he got? Anna Cockcroft should have got it

Leeds62, the term sports " personality " basically means sports person. It's an old fashioned way of saying it. The definition of the word in this context is : A person of prominence, for example TV or sports personality. You didn't really think the vote was for whoever has the best personality did you? It's best sports person and Murray was by far and away the best Britain's had this year. Can you h onestly say that someone who does a wheelchair sport with not much competition is thee best Britain has? Really?

I had to mute it when fergie was on, it was such a sickeningly drawn out tribute even having him come down the stairs unlike other recipients so they could draw the whole thing out.
TBH I thought the whole show was a bit crass....the playing of YNWA when Anne Williams family were trying to read their piece. Not letting one of the unsung heroes speak, the rubbish banter with Mark Webber etc.
Murray is a fully deserved winner, he polled 56% of votes, the highest margin of any SPOTY winner I believe, its great for Murray to see that the public do appreciate him, just wish his team had thrown him in the pool!
