3rd best player in the world?

Let's assume that most people would agree that Ronaldo and Messi are the 2 best in whatever order. Who's next in line? In the last few years you could have said iniesta, xavi, rvp, rooney, drogba to name a few. Imo Zlatlan is currently third best in the world

Spin it how you want, there is no doubt Suarez is up there with the best.

The fact that NOT playing CL football shouldn't detract from someone's ability and what they do week in/week out in a strong league!

That was the point you seem to miss bud. Suarez is obviously immense

Who has said Suarez isn't immense?

Jeez, I'm bloody confusing myself now

Come Balon 'dor time as VC states, the lack of CL football should not detract from a candidates chance of winning.
That is purely my view.

But it always does. And it's understandable.

How can a player be crowned the best player in the world when they've not shone in the best competition in the world?

If Suarez shines at the world cup, however, he might be in with an outside chance.

...............

It doesn't, but it will detract the voters from voting for him come Balon dor time.

What part of this don't you understand?

agree, no way can suarez be considered until he's done it consistently at the highest level for years. He's basically having the season rvp had, which is great but is nothing more than that

Suarez was leading the goal scoring charts last year until he decided to bite somebody...

RVP? In the last few years? Or when he joined Man U and you guys elevated him to that level?
Before that he was an "injury prone one season wonder".
