What Next?

I don't write on here very often but clearly there is a crisis at tottenham. Personally AVB's sacking comes as little surprise and I can't say I'm too disappointed either as we can't score goals and from the city game onwards have been letting in bucket loads. AVB's win percentage is very misleading taking in to account Europa League and points won by Gareth Bale and AVB's had four months now to gel this squad together which in my opinion is enough time when u've spent 100 million. We have been twice brutally exposed against the big teams and in particular the likes of naughton and dawson who were always going to struggle against the likes pace and quality of suarez, coutinho and sterling. So what do the club do now? personally i'd love Laudrup but he seems content at Swansea and Capello and Klinsmann have world cups to look forward too but to be honest none of these managers particularly stand out. Levy might as well of stuck with AVB but at least the new boss who comes in will have firstly plenty of time to turn things around and the january window too.

It was definitely for non-football reasons

If Harry had stayed I think he could have made Spurs genuine title contenders.

He wouldn't have allowed for all the crap players you bought in the summer either.

"It was definitely for non-football reasons"

It was for both reasons.
With the football reasons giving the board cause to no longer have to tolerate the non-football reasons.

So Spurs finishing 4th is now a football reason to sack a manager ?

"So Spurs finishing 4th is now a football reason to sack a manager ?"

Failing to get a CL slot with a P11 W2 D4 L5 sequence is not good.
Failing by a single point when you were flying so high is worse.
Having all that and then being gobby in the press is well ... Arry.

But he was honest enough to say he was punching above his weight, so perhaps history will be kinder in evaluating his demise, eh.

They have just sacked a manager that finished 5th, has won every game in the Europa League this season, 8 games, through to a QF of the league cup, are currently only a few points of top four, so nothing really surprises me.
