Gervinho raised his hand and you can't do it anymore or you get sent off. Even if it was the most pathetic slap most players are going to drop like they've been pole axed to get the man advantage

Both Gervinho and Barton should have walked but no man should have himself picked up by the shirt like that. That is just way too disrespectful and provocative. I would have reacted much worse than that.
