Its not a progressive move for Laudrup & one he would prob turn down...need to be a bit more realistic..Zola's just resigned....expect to see him interviewed soon

I'm sure Rodgers was thinking the same thing before he joined Liverpool.

Surely we've learned from the days of paying over the odds in compensation for experienced managers with virtually no Premier League experience? If we go for someone who has never managed in this country again, I want Levy out. We need someone who knows the club, understands the league, is tactically smart and is a dedicated advocate of youth development. There's only one man that fits that role... Glenn Hoddle... and he wouldn't cost us a dime in compensation. I think Sherwood played under him as well so that bodes well in terms of developing Sherwood as a future spurs manager.

Basically we need to look closer to home. We've lost our identity and it's crucial we find someone who oozes it.

I have to say, I’m worried by the clamour for (another) manager with little managerial experience. De Boer, Laudrup and Pochetino all have less than three years managerial experience each, roughly the same as AVB (one year at Acadamia, one at Porto, 6 months at Chelsea? when we hired him).

Pochettino's in his 4th year of management.
