As some of you know when we have spoken here before, I ain't a WUM. I just wanted to ask you guys a question after last night's performance and some of the performances this season. If you had a chance to take Benitez back, would you?
I know some of you hated the guy with passion last season. But he actually did a very good job in guaranteeing you a place in the Champions League and winning you the Europa. You guys looked deadly by the time the season finished. Jose - your most successful Manager after his last stint at the club and a proven, World renowned Manager - stepped into the Manager role with a team of top quality stars, plus making a few new additions without losing anyone significant. Yet the football has been unimpressive and the results have really been hit n miss.
Now again I ain't trying to rub anyone up the wrong way or anything. Just wanted to see the perspective of the fans on whether you are happy with Jose, or if you had some chance to bring Rafa back (not saying this is possible or impossible), would you?
Jose or Rafa?

It means trying to change the mentality of the players and trying to change and improve the way we play on the pitch.
The bests teams in the world all play great as a team rather than rely on individuals.

So that's not working then.

we have been poor this season but under rafa we were so so poor. I don't know how we got so many points with him, despite the qpr and southampton fiascos. this year is the same, I really don't know how we are competing. we have such a bad team at times

Yep leaky defence and no strikers...how we are third is beyond me

I have no interest at all in having Benitez back.

Nor me but he doesn't deserve to be so lambasted by some fans on this site.

Your so right, in his time he was so inspirational to me as a boy, I never met him but I did know Ossie, Tommy Baldwin and Ron Harris from the dogs at Wimbledon, proper footballers and men, and yes Cookie would fit right into today's squad.
