A late extra-time strike from Swansea loanee Ki Sung-Yeung dramatically ensured Sunderland's place in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup as Jose Mourinho's Chelsea were regretfully knocked out of the cup.
The South Korean midfielder beat the second-choice keeper Mark Schwarzer from the edge of the penalty box to set off wild celebratory scenes at the Stadium Of Light.
Chelsea, who dominated large parts of the game, took the lead furtitously with Lee Cattermole poking the ball into his own net

Watched the game yesterday and I felt the pain of the Sunderland fans. Then a miracle happened and it was nice to see Chelsea, and their arrogant manager, lose.
Maybe this is what Sunderland needs to turn their season around?

"regretfully knocked out" 'Aspring' . . . . I detected some more sour grapes in the report, too

Dominated large parts of the game??? The possession stats were around 50/50 and Sunderland had the more clear cut chances to win it before they did, so I don't know where you came up with that one..
