AVB played risk-free, turgid, slow football that was very possession based. We didn't concede much (recent thrashings aside), but we didn't score much more.
Could it be that he knew that if we lined up in a 4-4-2, like tonight, and encouraged riskier passing, that our absolute featherweight defence and midfield would be exposed if the opposition had more possession as a result of larger turnover of possession?
I know we were light at the back but they carved us open like a Christmas turkey time and again once we took the lead

What's worrying is this is a bottom half team who played a weakened side, and had no intention of attacking us until they conceded. Once they did, it was just like flicking on a switch. And they destroyed us
