......... for letting George North play for Wales.
Thoughts gents................... and ladies of course.
My own thoughts. A petulant PRL saying GIUY to the rest of the rugby world for scuppering their megabuck dreams. On the other hand it might close off one avenue of the player drain from Wales (especially) and Scotland. The big test will come next autumn when North and Hibbard (at least) will want their clubs to pay another hefty fine.
One more thought - if PRL are so worried about the integrity of their competition that they want all internationals to play all games, how can they explain the first weekend of November. A full round of Premiership games, on the same weekend as England played Australia.
Saints Fined £60K.........

60K thats a nasty chunk of cash! I personally think it's wrong big time!

Seems a bit harsh, but I can't work out why they needed to schedule away from the defined period really. I guess Northampton new this might happen but were prepared to take it on the chin for such a prodigious talent, had it been Stephen Myler it might have been a different story

Sorry, "knew this"

SARS
Wouldn't have applied to Myler or Dickson, Foden, Hartley Lawes Wood or Corbisiero. Only applies to non England players.
Oh, and it's irrelevant if English players aren't playing in the premiership if England are playing on the same weekend. Usual double-standard, arrogant hypocrisy from PRL.

Sorry, what I was driving at was North is a real talent and is clearly worth a £60k fine, Myler however isn't worth a £6 fine - a touch harsh perhaps but I'm amazed Northampton have stuck by him, when there was him and Ryan Lamb it was almost like the Saints were playing with no half back line

Doesn't seem to be so bad this season, does it. Could be that that's because Lamb isn't there. .
Actually, I think Myler is a decent, steady player and is miscalled a lot more than he should be. I'm glad we kept him rather than Lamb. I was disappointed and said so at the time) that we didn't try to get Ford from up the road when he left, but with Dickson pushing him a bit harder than Lamb did, I think Myler is a better player this season.
