I've got a feeling this guy's JP's first choice.
I'd be fairly happy if he got the job but with the odd concern.
His style of football whilst good is in stark contrast to our current style. RR believes in getting his players to press higher up the park. This would mean our centre backs pushing further up the pitch.
Problem is, our back 4 are probably the slowest in the Premier League so I can't see how this could work in the short term.
Long term I think he'd be great as he'd get us scoring the goals we need but he'll only succeed if we restructure our defence which would take time!

I think a change in coaching style is what is needed. A lot of teams clocked on how we played. They knew we were going to sit back in the first half and invite pressure. We are way too predictable. That's why I don't want Mackay who sets his team up in a similar way to be hard to break down and rely on counter-attacks. I hope the board consider this.

What gives you that feeling?
The latest from the men 'in the know'....is that, Ralph 's people say there has been no inquires from any club and he's really happy where he is.

His club have said there's been no contact. He's not ruled himself out!

Teix, I agree in principle but not with the players we've got available.
Our back 4 would get torn a new one if we played higher up the pitch!

To be more precise from Steve Madeley's Twitter feed:
"Another interesting phonecall. A member of Rangnick's 'camp' claims there's been no contact with any club."
You can't really draw any conclusion from that comment. It certainly doesn't mean he's been ruled out!

I did read somewhere that RR is interested in getting back into the head coaching role. If that's the case then he can't be all that happy where he is unless he wants to change roles within the club which seems unlikely to me!

I agree cox that we can't afford a sudden change in style. I don't think anyone would expect Ralf (not saying he's getting the job) to transform us Dortmund style overnight. But a new manager and new ideas should mean a gradual change in style. Hodgson didn't change everything straight away and neither did Mowbray when he transformed us. It was tweaking the way we play until they reached the summer and they could implement their own style.
