Peterborough (5th) V Bradford City (7th) - Britt Assombalonga (10 league goals) V Nahki Wells (14).
An interesting encounter this Saturday against the team from whom the Posh tried to buy Wells. Hopefully, Narco's replacement, Assombalonganame, will prevail; with the Bantams running around like headless chickens after him.
After last week's disappointing draw against Gillingham, this is a match that would be good to win; and, certainly, one that the Posh should be winning to step back into the automatic promotion race.
UTP!
The Posh V The Bantams

Despite making signings during the summer Phil Parkinson continues to pick a settled team with 10 of the starters that played at Wembley in May. Central defender Andrew Davies is currently injured.
James Hanson is an injury doubt for tomorrow so it will be interesting to see how Nahki performs with a different partner.
The manager didn't tell Nahki about the Posh enquiry in the summer knowing that he has ambitions of playing at a higher level.

Lovely city, Edinburgh. In a way, it will be a shame if Hanson doesn't play tomorrow. He and Wells would be pitted against Tomlin and Assombalonga. Regardless, tomorrow's game will be a stiff test for both sides. I hope it will also be an entertaining one.

An unseasonably mild but wet start to this the shortest day of the year.
It will be interesting to see London Road minus its Moyes End Away Terrace, that has now finally been demolished.
Two things may affect our play - the pitch (Fergie has raised some complaints about it) and the fact that a host of our players (including Tomlin) will be trying to avoid a fifth yellow card.
A prediction? No, since I predicted that Posh would beat Gillingham 3-0 last week.
C'mon, though, the Posh. Go for what would be a very welcome win!

Thanks for your seasonal greetings Thorney, the same to you. Let's hope we both have some decent results over the holiday period. Good luck in the New Year too, although not at our expense

Good result today!

Yes, indeed. We dominated the first half with a wonder goal from Nthle and efficient finish from Assombalonga. Bradford then made two good substitutions (No 7 Reid, in particular) at half-time, and scored, making for a slightly nervy end to the game (although Assombalonga should really have buried a clear-cut chance in extra time). Wells, obviously missing his attacking partner, Hanson, barely touched the ball. We played more like a Championship side today.
The home game against Brentford on New Year's Day should be a cracker. Coventry ("away" at Northampton) and Carlisle (very much away) before then, though.
A good result for Swindon at home, and pretty good one for Huddersfield away. Happy Christmas!

A good win for you Thorney, and for us too
We're at Brentford on Boxing Day, hope we can do us both a favour. We have 'previous' with them, losing last year's play off semi very narrowly and a bit unluckily too. We didn't appreciate their players crowing at the end.
Good luck at Northampton!

What a coincidence. Keep doing us the favours and maybe we will be able to reciprocate some time in the future
